Starlink and Apex Maritime reorganized their air freight departments and promoted Paul Lin to Vice President overseeing Asia, Europe, and USA sales and operations. Hadden Ou has been promoted to General Manager, and will oversee USA sales and operations. Starlink and Apex currently own over 30 dedicated air freight offices throughout Asia, Europe, and the U.S. to better serve their customers’ needs.

Apex Maritime now offers its own purchase order management system to customers. Using the system, customers will be able to manage bookings online, easily communicate with vendors and receive feedback, and view real-time container status updates. The system will also provide inventory reports and grant full visibility for incoming shipments.

Apex Maritime’s mobile app is now available for Android and iOS. The “Apex Maritime Mobile” app can be downloaded through the Apple store, or if you have an Android you can use the scan below to instantly download the app. Customers can use the same log-in information from the website to track and trace their shipments through the app.

TSA carriers announced their fourth quarter bunker amounts for Asia to the U.S., effective October 1st.

East Coast: $784/20′, $980/40′, $1,103/40′HC, $1,241/45′

TSA carriers have filed another general rate increase for September 1st.

- ILWU Congestion Surcharge
TSA carriers have announced a pending congestion surcharge due to the ongoing ILWU contract negotiations, which may cause labor disruptions at U.S. ports. Any cargo arriving or departing after May 1st will be subject to the surcharge should labor unrest occur.
